Owner - Lyle Matthews
With a wealth of experience spanning back to my early years, my journey into the field of carpentry and construction began with Larry Bain Construction when I was just 13. Starting with humble tasks and gradually tackling more complex projects, I honed my skills under the guidance of mentors like Larry Bain himself, Barry Cudmore and Brandon Bain. It was in 2021 when Larry expressed his desire to retire soon, entrusting me with the continuation of his legacy. By the year's end, the torch was passed, and Busy Beaver Carpentry & Construction was born.
My passion for building traces back to my childhood days spent tinkering with Legos and constructing forts in the wilderness. Weekends were dedicated to assisting friends and family with various projects, from woodsheds to roofing endeavors.
One project stands out as the most challenging: framing the trusses of a screen porch with a five-sided hip roof. Despite having tackled tasks like building houses and garages, this endeavor put my skills to the test!
Beyond business endeavors, I am an avid outdoorsman, hunting and fishing. I also find fulfillment in giving back to the community. Alongside the Busy Beaver crew, I volunteer at the local gun range, fostering camaraderie and safety within our community. Additionally, I take pride in being a part of the Sag Lake Walleye Hatchery initiative, contributing to the conservation efforts that benefit our environment every spring.
